- What do you supply with the bike?
- A fitted helmet, lock, phone mount, puncture kit and a charged battery — plus route notes and a map link for the ride you pick.
- Do I need to be a confident cyclist?
- No. The coastal routes are flat and sealed, and pedal assist takes the sting out of any rise. We match the bike and route to your experience.
- How far will a battery go?
- Comfortably 60–80 km in normal assist modes — well beyond any of our day routes, even with plenty of stops.
- What happens if the weather turns?
- Call us and we'll rebook you for another day or refund the hire. Kaikoura weather moves fast and we'd rather you enjoyed the ride.

Our location
Kaikoura sits on the east coast of New Zealand's South Island, hemmed in by the snow-capped Seaward Kaikoura Range and the open Pacific. The name says it plainly — "kai" food, "koura" crayfish.
Fur seals laze on rocky shelves minutes from town, whales surface offshore year-round and albatross circle the peninsula. Quiet beaches, clifftop paths and tussock foothills are all within an easy ride, which makes it near-perfect e-bike country.
