About this ride
The Peninsula walkway loop is the classic Kaikoura ride. From town you climb gently to the clifftops, where the walkway traces the edge of the peninsula with views down to the seal colony, across the bay, and inland to the Seaward Kaikoura Range.
The route mixes sealed road and well-formed trail, with a couple of short climbs that the e-bike flattens out nicely. Finish back in town for lunch — most riders are at a café table within three and a half hours of pickup.
