About this ride
The Coastal cruise is our gentlest ride — a flat roll along the Kaikoura esplanade with the Pacific on one side and the township on the other. It's the route we suggest for first-time e-bike riders, families, and anyone who'd rather look at the view than watch the trail.
You'll ride out to Point Kean, where the seal colony sprawls across the rocks at low tide, then loop back along the same easy path. Allow extra time — most riders stop half a dozen times for photos before they've left town.
